In this scenario, the student is tasked with counselling a teenager with newly diagnosed Type 1 diabetes. The student must explain what hypoglycaemia is, describe its signs and symptoms, and provide guidance on how to manage hypoglycaemic episodes, including the frequency of blood glucose monitoring.
