Summary Intermediate

In this scenario, the student must navigate an ethically complex situation in which a parent is refusing a prescribed antibiotic for their 4-year-old child who has been diagnosed with otitis media. The scenario tests the student's ability to balance respect for parental autonomy with their professional duty of care to a vulnerable paediatric patient, including safeguarding considerations and evidence based counselling.
