Summary Intermediate

In this scenario, a 46-year-old woman has been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and has been prescribed oral ferrous sulfate. She attends the pharmacy with questions about how to take her iron tablets correctly, as she has previously taken some and experienced gastrointestinal side effects. The student must counsel her on formulation choice, dosing schedule, administration timing, and management of side effects in line with BNF and NICE guidance.
